Default PCV hose for 2000 SL2?

I pulled my valve cover today, and while I could probably get more miles out of the PCV hose, I'd like to replace it. However it looks to be molded with possibly different inside diameters on the ends...unless it's just swollen on the intake-manifold/head side? It wasn't very tight. It was getting dark, and I didn't even try to get calipers on it... not sure there is room actually.

I found the hose on Amazon, but can't post the link yet.

It's AC Delco 21015279

It's over $17. That's a lot for a hose. I think I paid less than $2 for a foot of 3/8" PCV hose, for my truck.

Those of you that have the later S-series, did you simply bite the bullet and by the OEM molded hose, or is there another solution. The Dorman hose listed on Rockauto looks more like it's a replacement for the vent hose that runs between the air intake and valve cover.

I simply used a dial caliper, measured the PCV and went to Autozone for standard rubber hose, it may have been reinforced hose if I recall correctly.
Put it on 5 or 6 years ago and no issues since...

Measuring the hose, one end is 3/8ths, and the other is about 1/2". The 1/2" end was on the intake (or head) and fit pretty loosely. I'll see if I can shove a piece of straight 3/8" on there... if it fits, that would be fantastic. Otherwise, I'll just put some clamps on the original hose for now.

That zig zag hose is the perfect fit between the valve cover and the plastic intake tube upstream of the throttle body. Does it work for the PVC also? Here is a good view of the zig zag hose in action.

3/8 or 5/16 fuel hose works.

RockAuto or any Auto Parts store have some...

The original PCV valve for Gen 3 S Series had a right angle elbow on top.

You could pull this off, and put it on a new PCV valve.

Also AutoZone has a PCV valve with a small hole in it, forgot the number 1009 I think...
This may reduce oil burning...

I believe that's a mis-listing. That is more like what my vent hose looks like. My PCV hose is quite different.

There's also hose specifically for this, that's a bit easier to bend, although it tends to flatten out a bit too. My concern is the ends being different sizes. I'll go out and measure the barb on the car now.

Yes, I was trying to pull it off last night, and it didn't want do anything but twist, even when run under hot water.

I actually have one of those in my garage. I bought it years ago for my truck, but stopped using it, since I really didn't know if it was adequate for a big block.

Well there isn't much room for getting calipers onto the nipple. I tried shoving a piece of 3/8" line I have from my truck, and I couldn't get it to go on. If I had better access I might be able to get it on, but I think it's larger than 3/8". It went on the PVC valve fine.

I've found that the vent hose was full of oil, so I'm thinking I'm going to do a compression test before going much further.
