Default cruise control

Has anyone had any problems with their cruise control. I used it the other night and when i pushed the button to speed up, the rpms went way high, like to 600(?) and it seemed way out of control. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had this problem but I noticed it did it at very distinct times, like if I was on a hill and pressed the + or when I hit resume on the highway after having to slow down quite a bit, wasn't thinking and just hit resume...little did I realize that the car would take my resume that speed (45 to 68) so literally.

I had a problem with my cruise control a while back. It turned out the there was a newer PCM update that fixed the problem. Of course they were going to do that update at first... They though the actual cruise control switch was the problem (even though I told them what had to be done). It wasn't until I went in complaining about the car feeling like it was gonna stall sometimes after I'm stopped; that they finally did the PCM update.
