2008 Astra XR
Default RKE weirdness

This never happened before. I went to AutoZone to get a diagnostic read of my check engine light and it was an old problem - P1101, the intake airflow system. I am dealing with that. That being said, when I got home and got out of the driver's seat, the chime came on. I don't remember that ever happening. The headlights stayed on, too - after the ignition was off. I like the "automatic" setting on the exterior lamps, and the headlights always go
off. And to top it off - both RKEs (one I always use, and the new unused spare) don't work - neither locking nor unlocking doors. I can only think - is it possible the Autozone guy twiddled something in the course of getting a reading? He held the remote to put the ignition into "On". Might he have pushed something on it when he was diagnosing, changing a code of some sort? Any thoughts on this? There was never anything wrong with the electrical system, and I hate like heck to have someone reprogram whatever for hundreds of bucks as I am on a low-budget lifestyle right now. Has anything like this happened to any of you? Does anybody have a solution I could try? Thanks so much - and if the great Astra LaVista (I think that's his monicker) is on and about - he knows, I bet, what's up with this!!

Thanks! Did the trick! I am appreciative for folks like you. Car stuff for me is like a different language which I only know a few words in.
