As my 2003 Vue with the dreaded VTi hit 100K I started considering buying a non-Saturn vehicle for the first time since 1994. I was about ready to get a Hyundai Tucson (awesome vehicle) and was surfing the internet last night when I stumbled upon my Holy Grail.
The next day, after a 3-hour drive, it was mine. I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Vue, 6-cyl (Honda), AWD, with 6600 original miles.

Take a good look through everything. 6600 is VERY low miles, actually too low in my opinion. Means it sat for long periods of time and was neglected. Hopefully all is well but still go through it bumper to bumper.

I usually go for a higher milage vehicle, as I only put 3-5K a year on them.... rust is my biggest concern but with the Vue the transmission concerns me too. Years ago in 1984 a buddy of mine inherated a '78 Malibu (in 1985) with 1900 miles, (like new), I had a '62 Pontiac in '81 with 26K. I recently sold off my pristine '78 T-Bird with 80K. I've only put 12K on My Camaro since just before 9/11. Though true depending on the Car problems can develop, though I've pulled cars that were in storage for several years without issues. |

My 06 has already had the tailgate redone ($350), & higher than 'normal' undercarrage rust (from being told from the pictures I posted on other posts), plus the snoflakes rims have signifigant corrosion & leak in the winter.
Hopefully it was stored in a clean state where none of this could occour, I don't think Illinois uses the amount of salt we do here. Not going to ask what you paid, but still sounds like a good find! ![]() If you were trading it in to a dealer, the dealer would downplay the low milage as a negative. |

Chicagoland area uses WAY too much salt. Since it was a lease to a Chicago resident that did not drive much, my guess is it was garaged so it would have had little exposure.

Congrats. Last year for polymer and the balance of the 5/100 warranty, I think it was a great find!
