Default Unplugged IACV, no fault code?!

Basically the car has had a “rev hang” as you shift for the longest time and I seen someone else work around it by unplugging the IACV at idle and I tried it with success, or at least it doesn’t rev hang as I shift anymore... what’s surprising however, is that the CEL hasn’t come on yet... no pending codes or anything. I figured that when you remove the PCM’s ability to regulate idle it would throw a code, much like a toddler throws a tantrum when you take its toy lol... I’ve driven 160mi since unplugging it and so far the only negative is idle dropping to like 450 with AC on... (easy solution, don’t use AC lol)

Throttle was cleaned when I did the port and polish about a year ago. Since I vent PCV to atmosphere there is no oily gunk in my TB

Being unable to see this mod, its presumed the pcv hose venting is diverted somewhere. Is the throttle port where the pcv hose plugged? If it was plugged, is it permanent or semi with the possibility of the plug loosening, falling off? If the port is open then this may be the source of extra air keeping idle higher than normal.

The PCV tube was just removed from the factory air intake tube and vented to open air... I disconnected the idle air control circuit recently... maybe the actuator for the valve was sticky or maybe the car is just tuned that way for emissions purposes but in really surprised that the CEL hasn’t come on since I disconnected the plug to the IAC valve
