Default Faulty switch??

My roommate has an early 00's L-200 I believe.

When she turns her turn signal on, her high beams come on... however, in the past few days, when she turns off her car, her high beams will randomly come on. This has led to her having to jump her battery at least once.

Is this a common problem? Is it a shorted wire, or will she need a whole new "headlight arm".

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

You may be describing the combination switch stalk that sometimes fail. Check the threads from the past, in particular the model. There may be similar posts at the bottom of this page.
