Default 4cyl ac line replacement.

Hi, the ac line on my 02 lw200 was riddled with pinhole leaks so I cut it out. The replacement looks like I have to remove the motor mount under the air cleaner? It's that siamese hose that branches off into 2 from the fire wall. Any help is greatly appreciated! If I have to remove the mount what do I do, just jack the engine up? Thanks

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

The engine can be safely jacked slightly IF and only IF a block of wood 2" X 4" or similar is used. Place the jack under the oil pan using the block of wood to rest up against the pan.

This should give you the room you need you need to remove the motor mount. Just don't jack it too high. Just enough to get the line in and out.

I used online GM parts drawings for reference. The link is https://www.gmpartscenter.net/auto-p...and-lines-scat.

Thanks for the advice but after 2 hours of struggling with that damn line in this humidity I called it quits. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to siamese an ac line like that? I couldn't route it properly so I gave up.

^^ I hear you. Been there before! This is the type of job that you do when you have a shaded area, a cooler time of the day, the right frame of mind and a lot of patience.

You'll get it done. You are wise to walk away from it for now.

Strongly agree! Patience and a well rested mind are your friends. I remember I slept on it that night and finished this challenge out the next day. http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=232671

On my V6 I did not need to remove the motor mount, but your situation could be different. Removing the front right wheel helps to guide the pipes in and out.
