intermediate shaft
does the intermediate shaft need to be removed to remove the tranny from the engine? it doesnt look like it needs to but this is the first time i have tried to tackle a front wheel drive transmission.

it doesn't need to come out, but it will be a lot easier to put the trans back in if the int. shaft is out. you'll see what I mean if you leave it in there.

It only takes 10 minutes more to pull that shaft - and it makes it easier - might as well.
