Cliff notes: 94 SL2 for sale, 5-speed, 167k, runs great. $900 obo
Looking for a home for my 94 SL2 5-speed. 167k miles, mix of highway and city. Engine runs perfectly. Valve cover gasket has a small leak that causes it to lose a bit of oil, but oil consumption is nothing new for a Saturn. The leak wasn't severe enough for me to bother fixing it. Starter, alternator, battery replaced within last 50k miles (don't have exact mileage, sorry). Fuel filter also new within last 10k miles. Oil has been changed every 3k miles since I got it at 80k. Conventional oil only. Suspension aging, but still usable. Just can feel a bit sloppy. Same with the clutch. Summer tires currently installed are worn, but purchase includes 4 Bridgestone Blizzaks with only one winter on them. New front brakes (pads, rotors) last spring. Paint is not in great shape, as one would expect for a 10 year old car always kept outdoors. Driver's side door has sealing problems, which means the drivers seat is occasionally wet after rains. Probably a repairable problem. Interior also shows wear, but is still reasonable. New speakers front and rear. One year old Aiwa 180w head unit. Shifter is cut down, with a MOMO knob. Airbox is modified and contains a washable K&N filter (washing kit included). This car would be a fun project car for any kind of racing or auto-x, or a good first car for a youngster. It's been ultra-reliable for me, and I can only hope my next car lasts me for this long. According to KBB definitions, car is probably somewhere between "Fair" and "Poor". The private party value for a "Fair" car is $1300. I would like to get $900 for the car, but will consider all offers. Edit: Forgot to mention, car is located in New Hampshire, and buyer would assume all shipping costs (but I would prefer to sell locally). Pics are available upon request. bump again. How bout a price drop? $700? I'd really like to sell the car to someone who frequents the forums, since they're likely to treat it well and appreciate it. Remember, winter's coming, and Blizzaks are God
