Among the many things I am currently debating on putting on my car is this. The good ol' Cold Air or Short Ram intake system. Both by AEM & reasonable in price. What are your recommendations, thoughts, personal experiences, etc. I am in the beginning stages of modifications on this car & would like some opinions, thanks!

Cold air. An extra five ponies. You could also look into the V2 that they finally have out for the Saturn, which'll give you even more power.

Thanks! I've been leaning towards the CA, but wasn't quite sure. I like the power that the CA gives cars & the way it sounds with a header on the car.

AEM has it. They explain what a V2 is, why they sometimes look different, etc.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out.
What about the SPS products? Have any of you ever ordered anything from there & how well do you like them? |

Where do you guys see the V2 system for Saturns at? They don't have it on the website and from what I understand they are not planning on offering one.
Back to the question I would definetly go witht the cold air as opposed to the short ram because of the extra top end you get. However the short ram does give you more consistent power with no losses whereas the cold air sacrifices a little mid range which will be felt in first after that you'll have more than enough extra power. |

Thanks Josh! I haven't had the chance to check out AEM's site yet for the intake, but if I find it I'll let you know.

yea since you have a manual I would go with the CA. It'll give you about 4hp more (although it costs more too).

I can get it cheaper from SPS. AEM wants $330 for it. SPS said $270.

If you can't do the AEM full cold air due to having an auto, I would suggest the Twistec Cold Air box. If you can do a scoop for it as well that would be even better.
