Motor Mounts!

If you own a Saturn that has 100,000 or more miles, it would be in your best
interest to either have your motor mounts checked or check them your self.
I had a triple failure just a week ago and it's by the grace that I am here to
post this. I have a '95 SL2 and the upper mount, the one over by the
radiator overflow, the wishbone and the transaxle all failed.
If you wish to test yourself, the test is station a person with the hood up,
looking at the motor and a person in the driver's seat, foot on the brake and
shift from drive into reverse. If your motor moves about the compartment,
you have one or more bad mounts. You will also notice a marked decrease
in power. It's like your car wants to go, but can't. Gas mileage also drops
rather sharply.
This failure will start with wheel bearings failing in very short mileage, 1500
miles or so. There is also a vibration that you can't quite put your finger on.
If you notice these changes in your Saturn, CHECK INTO IT!
