My car was given to me. Eventually, when I refinish the interior, it will leather seats, or possibly race seats if they are really cheap (and weigh less than leather).

mine came with leather (I wanted the yellow exterior so bad I didn't care if it was cloth or leather) and I love it! No spills yet so I can't comment on that, but a towel thrown over the seat prevents the burned hamstrings

...
Just replaced original set of tires at 48k not too shabby

I like the leather in the Ion, even though it is not high quality leather and it is not heated. However, for $700 for all seats it is a pretty good price and I find them to be more comfortable than cloth.

Another bonus is the leather trimmed steering wheel, doors, shift knob, which are all nice to have and match the car really well.

I'm glad I have this option and plan on having leather seats on future cars as well if possible.

This is my first car with leather seats, and now that ive had them, i wont go back to cloth. The heated seats are also a giant perk.

This is not only my 1st Saturn (The best car I've ever owned - an L200 with the premium package) --- But also my 1st car with Leather. I truly love it -- How it feels, how it looks... and how it smells. It looks fantastic (Black leather against the burgundy car) and the seat heaters are incredible here in new england. They heat up before the car does in the winter.

It took me 8 months to find a good used SW2 with a 5-speed; do you think I was going to quibble over not having leather interior?

My Cougar has the leather, though, and an 8-way power seat. That thing rules. I think I'll get it from here on out...

I have used Saturn (1992 Coupe, 180,000 miles) I got from my sister. No leather...but it did have a factory installed CD player that is getting kind of old.

I bought a used 1992 SL2 and it had leather, power windows and power mirrors, moonroof and that silly little wing on the back.

My wife was afraid that it had an automatic, and that she would have to kill me. She HATES automatics. She hates cruise control, too, but that she can ignore.

Anyway, the car is medium red and the leather is tan. I really can't see any other color that I'd want than tan in leather. We don't seem to have inordinalte problems with temperature, and this is definately a state with extremes: Minnesota.

Well, I had a 1973 Red Corvette that had leather seats. I am in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and we have all kinds of weather. I did not have A/C as I did not believe at that time that sports cars had such options. I loved the tan leather seats and would certainly choose them where I had the option.

When I went looking for a 91 to 96 SC2 I had a very hard time finding anything decent for what I could afford. I ended up buying a 94 red SC2 that has all options except air and disc/anti-lock brakes. 120,000 km's ... that is to say 72,000 miles. No leather seats either though ... would be nice ... !

Cobat Blue Ions with a 5 speed aren't common here in western canada. I would have been more than willing to take a Cobalt Blue Ion.3 with leather, however I settled on the C.Blue Ion.2 in the show room.

Yep, black leather throughout.

Makes it easier to slide in and out. Plus it's easier to keep clean.

the easiest way to counter-act the hot summer leather effect is a nice dark window tint all around.

my black ION with leather is cooler on a 90 degree day than my red SL was, just because of the tint...

I have cloth in the 1994 SL2. My 1997 was aftermarket leather and my first & second Saturn SL2s were cloth as well.

Never sprung for leather on a Saturn since I'm too cheap to spend that kind of change on a new car. When I buy used cars, I tend to get the luxury brand and always get the leather.

No the reason why is because over time it begins to crack even doing a conditioner seems as if it makes it worse especially in hot weather
