Question Does Your Saturn Have Leather Seats?

Does your Saturn have leather seats? Why did you -- or didn't you -- choose to get them?

Post Leather Seats

I traded in my 2000 LW1 and upgraded to the 2002 LW300 with the Premium Package along with the automatic temperature control. I figure you only live once so go for it. I thought why not treat myself, after all I am going on 49. What the heck!

I use my car for business and can be in and out of the car a number of times in a given day. I always noticed that my back felt cold right down the middle no matter what I am wearing in the cool weather. I find that the heated seats take away that chill, even at this time of year.

I also have found that the leather is much more comfortable than the cloth seats in my previous Saturn.

I cannot understand why some cars are not available with heated leather in our climate. This includes the Ion and the S Series. Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think the Ion leather is heated.

I don't have my 93 SL2 anymore but I got it with leather. When I worked for an auto dealership and had to move vehicles around, I found that I liked leather. Leather works especially well with dress pants. I like the ability to move and slide around on leather. That is a big advantage on long trips. Cloth will not let you slide around in your seat easily. I used to think this was a useless expense but I found that I loved it. Now my entire family buys vehicles with leather seats after riding with me in my Saturn with leather seats.

I hear the being talked out of it thing...

People think that being in HAWAII is crazy to have leather. Let me tell you, there is no better way from what my freinds have told me with their BMWs, Lexus and Mercedes...

My next Saturn will have leather and a friggin sunroof!!!

leather has not been high on my list of priorities when buying a car. Though one day leather will carress my butt in a Saturn. This I swear.

The only reason that I have leather is that I bought from stock and the only SC2m with the options I wanted also had leather. As much as I enjoy it (especially when a friend gets in my car for the first time and says, "Wow, leather seats?!" ), I don't neccessarily need it on my next Saturn.

It's proven to be a practical option too. I had a leaky bottle of milk in the back seat (didn't know it was leaking of course ) and, by the time I got home, there was a puddle of milk on the seat bottom. I was able to clean it off the surface of the seat without any problems. If I had cloth, the milk would have soaked into the fabric and seat cushion which I would have had to replace since I'm not fond of the smell of sour milk.

I have cloth. My neighbor had leather and always has to keep his windows open in the summer so the seats don't get too hot. Many a time he has left his window's or sun roof open to keep the car cools and it rain's. What a mess.

I've never had a car with leather, I don't really need it, plus I could never justify the extra cost, that and I've owned nothing but used cars up until this point. But I've driven my dad's Taurus which does, and a Chrysler Concorde rental car that did, and while neither had the great lateral grip of my SW2's seats, they were nice and comfy, and I didn't slid too much, nor did I have any trouble with temperatures. But of course, my dad's car is all tan so it doesn't absorb the heat, and the car warms up quickly enough in the winter, because it has climate control. But the Concorde really surprised me as it had "almost black" leather, but was white on the outside. We had this car in Florida, and it wasn't bad at all, get the A/C going, it was great. Not to mention, the Concorde had killer legroom and a huge trunk!
