350 on ebay for a rebuilt one.

New they can run from 600-1000 for a NEW T3.

Junkyard is anyones guess. Probably 10-100 depending on condition and the owner of the yard...

Get a Borg Warner GM5 (T4 equivalent) from a Chevy 6.5 diesel.

I have 3 of em in my collection from ebay...they run about 120 apiece.

Which cars came with the T3 from factory? Local wrecking yard sells any turbo for $16.50.

I dont think 5 psi would give you 160-200 hp with a T3, probably more like 50-70 depending on tuning and your exhaust.

Some people have used that, but with low boost.

The two biggies that people have used with much success at low and high boost are the SDS EIC and the megasquirt.

The sds is a supplemental fuel injector that squirts fuel into your intake charge.

The megasquirt is a fuel computer thats relatively inexpensive.

www.turbosaturns.net the guys there know their stuff and can help you a lot more effectively than most people here.

5 psi will give you about a 25-30% HP gain. 15 psi will almost double HP.

You need more fuel at 1 psi let alone 7.

Most setups should be able to compensate at 5psi boost. Higher boost could require more fuel than either the computer is set up for or could exceed the capacity of the injectors. With higher boost comes the possibility of detonation. You would also need to run higher octane fuel and possibly need a different spark plug heat range.

What do you mean by most setups? The saturn pcm cant even read boost.

The dumb obd1 may be able to compensate for small boost with just bigger injectors...

But obd2 will not.

For high boost yes you need to retard timing a few degrees, up to even 6 or more...

You will need colder spark plugs too.

If you arent going for high boost then just get the sds eic. Its cheap and effective.
But you will be surprised how much money you will spend just for a low boost setup. 2Gs or more... And once you feel the boost I bet you wont be able to stop yourself form turning it up... You lean on the stock engine and boom!
