Default Motor Mounts

Does anyone know how often motor mounts need to be replaced on a 98 SC1. Also, what do spark plug wires do? How essential are they? Thanks

A. Your best bet on this one is to have them inspected to see what kind of condition they are in. Pay particular attention to the upper motor mount as this one goes bad often on our cars.

B. Spark plug wires transfer electricity from the distributer cap to the spark plug.

C. Very important. With bad wires, the spark plugs may not fire, which is definately a problem.

Well, technically on Saturns, the wires transfer electricity from the ignition coils to the spark plugs.

Or may fire weakly, or may fire intermittently, or not at all. Symptoms can vary widely depending on how bad the wires are - from a mild hesitation or being slightly down on power to barely running or not running at all. Bad wires can also produce various symptoms depending on humidity. They are essential for a properly performing engine.

I had my motor mounts checked and they told me they're a little weak, so I plan on up-gradeing them to this...
