Red Face WHERE is the radiator drain plug on the LS1/L200?

I give up! I can't find that sucker. I've looked all along the bottom of the radiator, but can't find the drain plug. Is it a screw plug, bolt plug or a petcock? And where is it? THANK YOU for any help, I'm really embarrassed I can't find it...

This is a 2000 LS1, by the way.

I was confused b the "LS1" designation as this doesn't seem to be a valid model. The '00 L200 is and the drain is as described with an additional 3/8in dia. hose to attach for draining into a container. Is this picture helpful?

Ok, I think it used to be called the LS1, but now is called the L200.

I think that picture helps. I think I remember seeing something like that on the passenger's side of the radiator, it looked to be a red cap where that picture describes the hose attaching. So I'm thinking you unscrew the cap, attach the hose, then turn the release with a slotted screwdriver... I think. I'll have to try that when I get home in a few hours, I'll let you know.

That's what I ended up doing. I found the drain plug, but it wouldn't budge. It is plastic and I was afraid I was going to break it. I just pulled the hose, problem solved!

Thanks for all the help!

They are the same car, LS1 is = to L100; LS2 is = to L200 etc.

all LS1 is the "S" stands for "Sedan" ans L "W" 1 is "Wagon"

hope this clarifies the confusion!
