1997 SC2
Default Good aftermarket clutch?

I have to replace the trans (diff pin) in my '97 SC2, and I would like to replace the clutch in the process. Can anyone recomend good clutch parts? I once had a ceramic clutch in an RX-7 that I really liked. Does anyone make ceramic clutch parts for the SC2?

Oops. True about other posts. But, I am interested in Ceramic parts, and don't see mention of that...

AFAIK there's no ceramic clutch for the S-series. These cars don't have anything like the power and RX does. The LUK does fine.

You can always check Saturn motor sports, they seem to have all the good stuff for saturns. And im pretty sure they have any kind of sport/racing clutch you could want. You can call them at 1-800-696-0499 and talk to Wes, he is really good with saturns and has always been a great help to me.

here is a link for one of the clutches, it saus you can get 4 and 6 puck clutches also. But i think it best to talk to Wes about them as from last i heared ceramic cluches like the 4 and 6 puck ones dont last very long and are really sensative. http://www.saturnmotorsports.com/cat...products_id=22

unless you're making 151 hp or more in your S-Series, I'd get an OE clutch. my 92 SC clutch lasted 102,000 miles before it broke from too many 4000 rpm launches Detroit Dragway. my 96 SC2 clutch was original when I traded it in with 170,000 miles. my 02 SC2 clutch was replaced once in 91,000 miles only because it was soaked with oil when the input shaft sealed leaked on it. D'oh!
