Default 05 limp mode?

found an 05 w/130k miles and 5spd that is in limp mode. seller will take $400. i read a lot about the brown wire to the ecm and to check the throttle blade moving and so on. has newer tires and is real clean. i dont feel like doing major stuff now that it is cold. isnt tracking down an elec bug fairly simple in vues?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Chasing wiring issues is fun (and typically easy) if you have warm place to work*, good diagrams and good test equipment (meter, code reader, test light).

* I note you live in deep freeze zone.

I rarely visit forum but respond to private messages (PM). PM creates email to phone & please include email address with question. Avoid using Visitor Message feature ... I almost never check those.

i have done 3 vues in 2yrs. i have my equinox now. i felt like doing the heads on the 3.0 since it was springtime. nice weather. this vue might take up garage space which i dont like in the winter.

still for sale. seller said it has newer 17" rims with 1yr old tires.
i took apart my rear driveshaft this weekend. finally got the seized yoke pulled off the splined shaft. pops took it down to a shop and the 20T press did not budge it. but i kept at it. now i can order the carrier bearing. i think having working awd is probably a good thing. at least i can tell next buyer that it has a refurbished support bearing.
