2009 VUE 3.6L
"Change Transmission Fluid" message appears on start up. How can I clear it?
I have a 2009 Vue XR 3.6L. Recently, at 143,000 miles, the message "Change Transmission Fluid" comes on when the car is started. I changed what fluid I could by draining and replacing about 5.5 quarts that came out of the drain hole. I am going to drive it a little an do that again. That way I figure I'll have about 3/4 new fluid mixed in with some old fluid.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to clear the message myself?? I read on another post that I will need a GM Tech 2 and a CANDI module to clear it. But I also found on the internet about how to clear the same message on a similar age Cadillac by pushing two buttons while starting up.
I do not have a Shop Manual for this car.
I also changed the trans fluid myself at 105,000 miles. (there was no message at that time.)
