Mustangs are popularly used by aftermarket companies to beef up the results you can get from performance parts, because the '95 Mustang still had the 5.0/4.9 V8 that got gains from just about anything you tossed in there. Ions, however, will see less gains from the same parts due to:

1. A lower base horsepower rating
2. Having more efficiency to start, and...
3. Putting a V8 intake manifold on an Ion may have some installation problems...
