2006 VUE 3.5L
Default '06 RL vs Non-RL V6 Drivetrain

Any difference between the 2 regarding the 5 speed auto ratios? Or the final differential ratio? Any difference in the Honda V6? Thanks.

They're exactly the same. The speed limiter is higher on the Redline though.

Yep. I believe the speed limiter relaxation is merely a function of the tires that are delivered on the stock vehicles. Of course, anyone taking an SUV with a high center of gravity at speeds over 100mph ought to be caned, but that's another issue.

Cheers,

Which probably just means that the non-RL has S rated tires (up to 112mph) and the RL has H rated tires (up to 130mph). So the limiter actually is set somewhat conservatively in that regard.

Naw. It's perfectly safe. Not like physics changes magically once you exceed 100. The question is if the driver is safe.
