Information 2 questions

Can some one please guide me to the thread about replacing the front speakers in an 96 SL2. I am having trouble taking off the door panel. Also, does anyone have a front bumper cover for a 96 gold SC2? The part I need is the cover for cars with the flip up lights, thanks.

on my 96 SC2 you remove the front speaker grilles and replace the speakers without having to remove door panels.

Speaker grills are PART OF THE DOOR PANEL on a 96' SL2. You will need to remove the panel to access the speakers.

1. Remove the screws in the inner door panel armrest "pull"
2. Remove the single screw in the inside door handle trim panel
3. Remove the single screw on the lower rear corner of the panel.
4. IF the car has power door locks, CAREFULLY pry the PDL switch out of the trim panel and disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Lift UP as in toward the sky (NOT OUT!) on lower door panel about 1 inch to release the lower "L" clips from their slots in the steel under the panel. You will then be able to move the panel far enough out of the way to access the speaker retaining screws without actually removing the panel.
