Default Sudden sharp pull to right around curves/turns

I have a 99 SL with 290k on it and for the past few hundred miles it's started doing this thing where when you start going around a right hand curve, like a freeway on ramp where you're in a steady turn at 35+ mph, the car will jerk to the right once you turn the steering wheel past 10 or 15 degrees.

It feels like the right front wheel is suddenly turned (or camber changes or something) and it pretty violently pulls to the right. Once I straighten the steering back out it sort of pops back to how it should be in the opposite fashion (once you get past 10-15 degrees, suddenly you're going straight-er than you expected.)

Tomorrow morning I'll be getting her up in the air to take a look at the suspension stuffs but I figured I'd check if there's a known common failure point I can check, that causes this type of thing. Thanks!

No experience with this, but I think you're on the right track with physically taking a look at the suspension and steering components. It sounds like something's worn out to the point of being loose/shifting under a side load. You definitely need to figure this out before it moves from shifting to disconnecting!

I wonder if it could be your subframe getting rusty enough to not hold the control arm in place. well enough.. probably on the left in this case.

When my SW2 did this it was the tie rod end that was worn.

If the steering components are tight it could be the steering rack is worn out and jumping a tooth.

Mine was doing this exact thing 3 years ago - very disconcerting. I think it was the LCA on the passenger side that was changed. I'll check my records to verify

Badly worn ball joints on a non-Saturn vehicle had a similar effect for me. Had to turn in the direction of the turn at the beginning, and then turn the other way to continue in the turn direction planned.
