Default Gosh, this sounds kinda like an S-Series!

New Toyota concept car ME.WE

Granted, it's an electric car but this sure sounds familiar :

"The tubular aluminum structure and polypropylene panels keep weight to a minimum--just 1,653 pounds, only 31 lbs of which are the body panels."

I dig it. But I'm a fan of stuff that is out of the norm.

I kinda wonder how they'd deal with the safety regulation issues of the space frame design. Adding a cage smart car style would basically defeat the purpose.

Great info and discussion on TTAC about this concept vehicle, quality points addressed by the usual pundits in the comments section aka the Best & Brightest. I can see a correlation to the poly Saturns and this rig, the idea isn't new by any means, but I as I pointed out in other discussions, how would it get federalized in the US? Let alone all the other "issues" such as the styling and what-not.... My opininion? Overall a worthy concept with many solid ideas, lets see a more palatable version that will fit the times.

My brain hears French police sirens whenever I see a Millenium Generation vehicle. Is this normal?
