Default Replacing motor mounts

2000 SL2, Auto, 130,000 miles

Saturnparts.net prices a motor mount and the two dogbones for about $150 total.

Went to Rockauto.com. Anchor brand for the same would be about $45. DEA brand for the same would be about $50.

What gives? Are these worthy brands? Honestly, if the RockAuto isn't worth fooling with, and I'm faced with $150 bill for mounts, then I think I'd rather get solid polys.

Little guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get junkyard 3rd gen dog bones for the poly's to go into. Should be ~$20 plus the poly's.

SDA (Street Design Auto) went under/dissapeared so your SOL on the only poly top mount, though they wanted $99 for it preinserted into a frowny or $45 for just the insert. After *******g around with getting it out of the original frowny and into a new one, I'm kinda surprised they charged so little for the "bolt-on" one....it was freaking annoying.

I've read of a aftermarket modified transmission mount but I don't think I've seen one in action.

The proper way to fix a S-Series automatic is to replace it with a 5spd O:)

The DEA and anchor mounts from rock auto are the "frownie" kind. Most people are against them because they do vibrate excessively. They do work better than a 15 year old stock mount with separated rubber though : )

cut away most of the TAM rubber, inject with window weld, let it set up, and viola, a $15 dollar mount.
