Default 2000+ DOHC 55 mm TB

This is an XRC unit that I want to replace back to stock (would consider a SPS unit). I honestly don't like the way that the car lunges over stock with this TB. I am very resonable on this... I am willing to take a stock TB and $75 (free shipping) while XRC charges $155 + shipping. I will also take the SPS unit just as a straight up trade. This TB is not even a year old and it looks perfect. My only condition is you must send me a working TB first and then yours will be sent out the next day. If anyone is interested email me at BlackSC2@aol.com.

The throttle is really responsive to the point that it is almost jerky. Good for performance but it is too much for the amount of driving I do. That is why I wanted the SPS unit. It is a small bore so it won't give as high a gain. I ordered a stock TB so I am really looking for the SPS unit in trade now. I don't need a core anymore.

Sorry to sound TOO doubt full but what can that TB really add in HP numbers... Just wondered, since unless its really like 20hp or something I cant see it making that much difference on its own. I know no one has seen me post here, Im not a troll but I just doubt the actualy of the lunging more so then the stock TB.

Is there any real Dyno Data on this TB? just wondering. Not to flame you, Im sure that It does feel different and not good for your driving style. I just remember SCC did a little blerb they added a header and TB and Cold air intake I think and got 14 HP at the wheels...

PS, If I had the spare and the money, Id take that TB off your hands!

No your right in a sense... I guess I worded it wrong. It is definately jumpy because you have to think of it like this. The throttle is very sensetive. If you take something that is 48mm and turn it in to 55mm you will notice the biggest difference in two spots... as soon as you open the plate and at WOT. When you first open the plate more are is entering the intake manifold than normal (making it kinda jumpy off the bat). At WOT more air is entering than is even possible with a 48 mm TB. From a dead stop it is kinda like pressing the throttle harder than normal just because more air is forcing it's way through.

Can you post a pic? I'll buy it (and send a stock TB) if you can garuantee it's in good condition.
