Default L-series motor mounts?

Hey all,
I'm in the S-series side of Saturn a lot more often, so just ignore anything stupid i might say
I encouraged a friend to get a 2000 LS1 (around 75K right now) a couple of months ago, and he loves it. But recently, the car has been vibrating at idle. Instinct tells me it's his motor mounts, kinda like the TAM on my SL2. I looked under the hood, and i believe there are two, one on the right side and one on the left. A quick look on saturnparts.net showed that yes, there are right/left motor mounts. I searched and searched, but I couldn't find any info, like if they're a common problem or directions on how to change them.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I don't know any technical details about the motor mounts. However, my mechanic said they were definitely a weak spot on the L Series. (among other things)

slide under the front of the car and look for the mount that sits next to the radiator fan and starter. I had mine break and that'll cause a lot of crap to go wrong.

V-6 mounts are not a problem. Haven't heard of anyone who's broken one or worn one out.

Sweeeet, thanks rob.

anybody know any hints (or anything I definitely should not do) to changing one? Is it one of those "if you can change your oil then you can do this" things?
Thanks again for the replies!

so was it an engine mount? easy test. open your hood and have someone watch your engine from the side of the car. apply park brake and put your foot on the brake pedal. put the car in D and tap the throttle while still holding the brake. check for excessive engine movement. then try the car in R and check again. excessive movement as in you see the engine twisting inside the engine bay is due to a faulty engine mount.

AWESOME! thanks again, robman. I appreciate it mucho.
I guess it's almost common sense, but it's still a good idea. I'll check it tomorrow and inform you of the results.
