Default 99 dohc heads on 96 sohc block

I know this question, or thousands very similar have already been asked. But... It never hurts to ask a question... Other than gskets, what do I need to make 99 dohc heads fit on a 96 sohc block? Any piston/valve swapping? Please let me know... Thanks

The reason you aren't getting any answers is because it's a '99. '99 was a transition year where a lot of things changed in the middle of the model year. The head will fit the block. However, if it's the later year '99, you'll need a lot of other stuff along with it like the manifolds and downpipe. If you have a donor car, you can probably pull it off.

I have got a 99sc2 and the motor is knocking pretty bad. So I wanted to put the bottom end of the 96 sohc under all the rest of the 99 dohc stuff... I will check on the build date our the sc2 if that helps any...

If you have the whole '99 engine, you have everything to make it work.
