Default Top engine mount

Noticed part number 21012185 has been discontinued. There is someone on eBay who is charging $150 for some nos. Has anyone found a good replacement? Don't want to spend that on an engine mount.

Just get the good style DEA mount for $15.

I ran a poly insert for the frowny (Street Design Auto was the only maker of them...stupidly let it go with my last DD S-Series) along with poly dog bone inserts (aftermarket ones no less) for 6+ years in 5 different cars...never noticed any extreme vibration.

I bought an OEM top mount for the '99 when we rebuilt it. Seems good. The '98 has a rednecked on aftermarket mount. It is not as smooth. Not sure if it is the mount, the lighter '98 crank, or the lack of TLC the poor car had at the hands of its prior owners. Not that big of a difference. It would be the $15 mount for me.

Purchased the Westar for $16. As much as I love the fuel mileage, can not see dropping $150 on this part. Let you know how it goes. Thank you everyone.

Fuel mileage? Replacing the top engine mount will not affect gas mileage, just vibration.

Sorry, I meant the love of the car. We all know a Saturn is not the most glamorous car on the road. But the reliability ,gas mileage and size make it a great daily driver.

I think the Saturns, especially the coupes, are attractive - but by no means glamorous.

I find the Bugatti Veyron to be hideous, but very glamourous

Westar mount installed. Wish every project was that easy to do. The old factory frownie was completely destroyed. The rubber completely separated from the metal bracket. Can not give you a comparison to a factory mount but the car is way better than before. Good enough for a daily driver. Let's see how long it lasts now. Thank you everyone.

No, I did not check the other mounts. Really should have but did not feel like getting dirty.

Say Turbo1002, did you at least loosen (and retighten) the lower dogbone below the crankshaft?
It is really necessary IF the TAM is removed/replaced.

Relieves any preload stress on the torque axis struts(dog bones). If there is any stress you will feel it at idle or right off idle in the floor.

Yes, I loosen and re-tightened the dogbone bracket.
