Default 1999 SL2 Body Damage Question

I have a question about body parts compatibility on a 1999 SL2 with some cosmetic front end damage.

Specifically, it needs a hood, driver's headlight and fender, possibly a bumper cover, and maybe a few minor trim pieces.

If I can find one the same color in a Pick 'n' Pull, what model years would be compatible? Would any Gen 2 donor work for those parts, only '96 to '99, or ? I know there was a "freshening" in 2000, but I'm not sure how it affected those parts listed above.

Thanks in advance.

1996 SW2
Default Re: 1999 SL2 Body Damage Question

2000 is gen-3; parts will probably fit, but will look all wrong because the body lines are different. Hood, headlight and fender from any '96-'99 wagon or sedan will match; for the bumper cover, a '96-'99 SL2 or SW2 will match.

Colors changed over the years, however. Open the trunk, lift up the carpet and look at the decal on the spare tire cover. There's a long code beginning with (IIRC) "WA"; that's the code that should match the donor.
