Default Body Damage-Accident

My wife was recently in accident with our 2000 sl2 (auto). A lady pulled out of a parking lot and hit the drivers side, pushing in both of our doors. I'm taking it next week to get some estimates; it will definitely need two door skins, possibly the whole doors. The doors won't open and it looks like the door frames are bent. From inside the car you can see daylight around the door frames because they are bent out of shape. The driver side outside mirror (power) doesn't work nor do the power locks on that side. The rocker panel also was damaged. Both driver side doors are cracked and have holes in them where the plastic gave way.The front fender and engine compartment seem fine. I am looking for suggestions on what to look for beyond the obvious visible damage. I don't want to get riped off by the other driver's insurance company by getting it fixed and then notice something out of whack a couple of months later. I take pretty good care of my cars and I am picky about their appearance and mechanical operation.
1) What's the chance the paint on the new parts is going to match the rest of the car (assuming the local Saturn body shop is better than average)?
2) Although it was about a 10 MPH collision, I'm concerned the unibody frame may be out of spec. Won't know until it's looked at, but is there a way to permanently straightened these? If it's bent and then fixed, will it give me trouble years from now? How much of a side blow will the unibody take without being damaged?
3) Will replacement doors and frames fit as well as the originals? I'm concerned about wind noise, road noise etc.

What questions or concerns should I relay to the body shop estimater?

Sorry about the long post, but I just hate to have body shop work done. It always seems like the car never comes close to it's original shape and operation.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

If BOTH doors are bent that bad, then the B pillar was probably damaged, but not necessarily unrepairable. It can be straightened and probably not give you trouble in the future. I know on a lot of cars, the main structure of the unibody is around 6 or 8 inches into the car, so that may or may not be damaged. While I am not that picky about my car's appearance, I can understand your concern (2 doors that don't match the body would suck). Most body shops should be able to match the color of the new doors.

The best shot is to bring back to Saturn Dealer.
Usually they are contracted with Factory-authorized bodywork shop so you don't need to worry about color un-matching and structural repair issues.

If the car still driveable, get the estimation from at least 2 Dealers to compare. Sometimes the price difference in bodywork repair may knock your socks off.....even it's paid by insurance company.

Though it sounds like a low-speed accident, is your wife OK?

Yes, nothing hurt but her pride! So far the dealer estimate is $2,600!

What color is your car? Silver, green, and cranberry will be the hardest to match, but it shouldn't be an issue for the body shop.

It's gold. Saturn told me they could blend the paint and get good results.

$2600 to fix the bent B-pillar and (possibly) 2 new doors seems reasonable......esp it's a Dealer's price.
