I was told that I need new shocks for the rear. Is there anyone that know of an after market shock that is made for the Ion sedan?

If you are interested in getting a little bit of a sportier ride go for the ION Redline/Cobalt SS rear shocks. They really improved the ride of my old ION QC

I just did shocks, struts, strut mounts and lower control arm bushings on my 05 ION3 with 79K on them. I got the shock / strut replacements from Tirerack.com. Shipping was good and prices were below what I could get them locally.

The change out is pretty easy. Be prepared to put some heat to the lower bolt/nut to get it to break free if you live in an area where they salt the roads. Mine was a real pain in the rear. I was unable to break the bolt free with an impact wrench until I heated it with a torch for a bit. Both sides. It took me around 2hrs with messing with the lower bolts. With a torch handy, should take you under an hour to do both sides.
