Itís been years but Iíve had turbocharged / supercharged in-port cars just have really liked these 4 door ions as we have kids but when there not in the car I ld like to have some power.

Any and all important welcome.

Dizzy Re: 2004 ion 4dr 2.2 want to supercharge it?

There are several issues at hand if you want totdo this:

#1 Pre-2007 year range of the ION has no ECM support so there is no way to tune it. The Cobalt and G5/Pursuit have this same issue. The only way around is to do a standalone ECM or piggyback ECM.

#2 Unless it's the 5 speed manual, the VTi transmission is already a terrible and extremely weak trans, and adding and extra power will surely grenade it. If you have the 5 speed manual, it'll be fine and at most need a stronger clutch system.
IF you have the VTi, you'd be better off finding a 5 speed car vs doing a manual swap.

If you have nay further questions, feel free to let me know.
