Headlights won`t turn off
My 2001 L200 has headlight issues. If the headlights are turned on, the only way to turn them off is to disconnect the battery. If the turn signals are turned on the headlights come on and won`t go off. The headlights will sometimes come on by themselves, even with the car not running and the key
off. Again the only way to turn them off is to disconnect the battery or pull the fuses. When they come on it is always in high beams and I can`t dim them. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Re: Headlights won`t turn off
Couple of common failure items that can cause this. The stalk switch for headlights and turn signals is a known high failure item. Less than $50 for parts and an easy half hour DIY job. Next would be BCM failure which can cause lights to be possesed. $400 - 700 and can only be done by the dealer as the new BCM needs to be programmed for the car.
