1993 SL2 DOHC Subframe/engine cradle.

Anyone can direct me in finding a subframe ? I cannot find one anywhere. thx so much

I got my subframe at Junction Auto Parts in Caledonia, IL. They are at the junction of 76 and 173. They import them from the Carolinas and they are rust free. Mine cost $225.

My subframe pics start on page 5 of my thread, around post 94.

Apparently Saturn decided to move the transmission side dog bone from the cradle to the frame in '94. There's plenty of room to add it to the "newer" easier to find cradle if you have the drilling & measuring tools that'll require (standard measuring tape & standard drill bits...).

The other "problem" with a '94+ cradle in a '91-'93 is the radiator mounting is either lower or higher...means you'll have to custom make mounts on the top for it. I can't remember which year range is which, I've put the "wrong" radiator in both year ranges...one sticks up too high and got zip-tied to the radiator support at an angle and the other sat about 2" low which could probably have been fixed with hockey pucks like a 4x4 body lift, but I just used zip-ties again.

they want 300.00 to ship one in.. My wife thinks im crazy doing that for a 24 yr old car ! LOL.

I work in Rockford. It is maybe a half hour to drive to Caledonia. Why would you want them to ship it?

They said not in stock and wud have to ship one in from texas or southeast somewhere.
