Radio Antenna Intermittent
OK, so I like to listen to AM radio. The good talk radio stations in Atlanta are all on AM. My radio is not stock, but an aftermarket Panasonic CD player. It seems to work OK, but I believe the antenna connections are intermittent on my 1995 SC1 Manual.
As I'm driving, the strength of the broadcast will jump up and down. If I'm listening to a fairly strong station like WSB, it's OK. But, if I'm listening to a weaker station like WGST, sometimes it will disappear into the noise until I hit the next bump.
I've disassembled enough of the panel to check the antenna connection at the radio, and also the antenna junction behind the glove compartment. All of these connections are clean, free of corrosion, and appear to be solidly connected.
I suspect the poor connection may be at the antenna itself.
Here's my question -- how do I get to the antenna connection? What do I have to disassemble to check it?
