Post No More "L" s

Yesterday we sold our LAST NEW "L" Series car.

With the Owner Loyalty Coupon, the price for the Basic "L", which was $21,995 was reduced to $15,495. If you bought one with the sunroof, $795 was added to the price.

So now we wait for the Aura, for our customers who want a NEW mid-size car.

I think Saturn of Cary has one 2005 L300--a silver one with power seat and aftermarket leather. They have had it since at LEAST November, I think.

We were told about 8000 2005's were made. All were V6, no leather. Sunroof was basically the ONLY option. I'd like to have one, myself. We've still got a few left on the lot.

I just signed up for GM card. Looking around I see GM loyalty discount for $5,000 and aother $2,500 cash rebate from Saturn. I guess sales tax is on $22,000 before rebates ( $24000-$7500=$16500). If tax was after rebate it would be $22000-$7500=$14,500 plus tax=$16,000 which sounds too good

I probably would've bought an L300 back in 2003 if they hadn't done the restyle, which I couldn't stand. And I'd be tempted to pick up one of the discounted ones now if they still looked like the 2002's. Oh well...

I'd almost consider a used 2002, but it wouldn't be under warranty and I just don't trust the L Series reliability.

Forget GM card. I do get GM loyalty rebate for $5000 like everybody is doing. I also see Saturn dealer rebated fron $2500-$3500 added to that. Then I will buy car. I just emailed around 10 Saturn dealers in my area which covers another 5 due to multiownership

I wonder if they had any ceremonies in Wilmington for the last L-series off the line? You also have to wonder if they kept it or it is out there on the road or on a car lot.

$4500 is the current max. rebate through GM being offered at this time. Exceptional value. We are down to two left.

We sold our last L a few days ago. I have no idea what loyalty program Garciavision is talking about. The last loyalty we had was in January. L300s are $1000 hot button bonus cash + $3500 down-payment assistance if cash or $2500 and 4.9%/60 months, tho any Retailer with 30 (!) left in stock might put a "market adjustment" on them for an additional low price.

Give me choices in powertrain, great handling and decent MPG and I will buy a Saturn again.

exactly...

Some overloaded Retailers have called everything from Push Pull drag it in sales or whatever they can to get rid of remaining L's.

Its funny cause stores are either sold out or still have 30 on the ground.
