No, they are different sizes. If you look on gmpartsgiant, it will ask you which model you have. Being you are in CA you might be able to find what you need in a junkyard.

Thank you for the website to refer to. It looks like they are the same sunroof. All the part numbers match. Even the glass looks the same for all models from 1996 to 2002.

91-95 sedans and 91-96 coupes had different size sunroofs. 96-02 sedans and 97-02 coupes shared a sunroof size.

I pulled a 02 sedan sunroof out of junkyard.

I can confirm that the glass between the 02 coupe and 02 sedan is compatible.

The metal framework module is not. The sedan module is longer. However, if you just need parts, all the parts except for the lengthwise structural members appear to be the same.

I was just talking to Rick at the Sunroof Doctor and he told me that if you want to swap out the arms, you need to drill out the pop rivets holding the rear cross member waterway and slide the arms out the rear of the sunroof module. To do this you need a 5/32 drill bit to drill out the old rivets, replacement pop rivets, and a pop rivet gun for installation.

To do this you need to remove the sunroof module from the car.

Handy Tip for Removing the Headliner:

Be aware that there are strong velcro patches holding up the headliner. They are stronger than the paper mache that the headliner is made out of. So you need to slide a plastic scraper or plastic prybar between the two sides of the velcro to detach them. If you just pull on the headliner, the headliner itself will rip away from the velcro, leaving the velcro attached to the metal roof of the car.

The velcro patches on the coupe surround the sunroof opening. Whereas on the sedan, they are around the outside of the headliner.
