1999 SL2
Default There's a 2001 SWP on Facebook marketplace in Dayton, OH

Lewisburg Ohio to be exact, but close enough to Dayton. The seller is asking $500 or best offer since it needs some work. Intake gasket, power steering line and a rusted rear trailing arm mount. From the pictures it looks to be in good condition body and interior wise though. 198k on the odometer. The trailing arm repair isn't too horrible, or just use it for a RHD swap on a third gen SC Either way, if someone is interested scoop it up.

Here's the exact title for the listing:

I didn't know what an SWP was, and was confused about your RHD statement. I assume P is for Postal?

Default Re: There's a 2001 SWP on Facebook marketplace in Dayton, OH

SWP = RHD,generally for postal workers.
All RHD cars are automatic's and I'm thinking the '01 SWP and '97 SC2 were the most common RHD.

IIRC the brake master cylinder is still on the left side of the firewall so there is some mechanical magic going on to get the pedal input on the right side over to the MC on the left side. The steering rack, column and dash are likely also unique.

I don't know if they swapped the seats around or if the '97's got a power left side mirror.

Good video, that's pretty much how I'd repair it provided there's enough solid structure to attach to. For that SWP, the picture doesn't show much of the surrounding area so it's a bit difficult to tell how well the surrounding area is, but for the price I'd take the gamble if I could.

I've seen people do that with wooden boats... ,though flipping them
on a surface is more common.

It's easier to use helium shielding and just weld overhead..

Ideally I'd like to reverse engineer the car and make my own titanium stampings to replace the steel parts.

I ended up with the only (known) RHD SL1 in existence. Just kind of stumbled upon it at a time where I was coincidentally in desperate (temporary) need for an automatic transmission.

I live just east of Dayton, and I've been looking for a wagon.

Unfortunately, I don't have a facebook account, so I have no
access to the posting for the SWP.

I'm sure I can find someone to weld up some repairs.

But I have no way of contacting the owner.
