If I remember right my HVAC lights were horrid as well..... No real way around it as the HVAC indicators are already painted the color they're supposed to be :/

I bought the B8-5D bulbs from superbrightleds.com
They worked perfect! I also bought the same size high intensity bulbs and for some reason they don't work.

The bulb is down to the left of the shifter panel. All you have to do is take out the window switch trim. It's down there, you'll have to shove two fingers down there to twist it out of the holder.

Great post

just did my instrument panel.Looks great (not as good as the redline, though) Mine is an 03. I have to back and change out the red LED on the odometer. With the red color it's like 'WARNING! CAR HAS 140,000 MILES! WARNING! Besides that it took 10 LEDs to change out all the bulbs in my cluster. Now my turn signal arrows are blue.

Gonna order some more to finish the center panel. Also, replacing the dome lights with LEDs

I used a high output Blue led's on my odometer. It really looked good. The red led did not fit, even though it was the same type. All came from superbrightled's.

If anyone is interested I'll post ordering info and pictures...

During my yearly inspection they tested my tint, and it was 40% on the front windows, which is the darkest you can have on your front windows in Louisiana.

The car behind me left when they saw them measuring my tint.

I just got clusters from 2006 and put it in 2003 Vue and they are both standart transmissions. When I start the engine - "Service vehicle soon" light is on.(Looks like little car with the rench inside). When I put my old cluster back - light is gone. What cause it? Could it be a malfunction code from the donor vehicle, I mean does the cluster have built in own memory?

hi i was wondering if the needles in an 04-05 vue cluster are just tinted red or if the led in the needle motor is actually red.

i am asking because i think that lime green needles with white numbers and stuff would be sweet.

thanks in advance.

Needles are red and are backlit by their own incandescent bulb in the cluster. As far as I know it can't be replaced without cracking it open, because I was never able to find the bulb responsible for lighting the needles.
