How do you know you only get 250 miles to a tank of gas? Do you fill-up the tank, then drive until the vehicle runs out of gas? Are you aware of the EPA fuel mileage ratings for this vehicle? Do you have the FWD or AWD feature? What type of driving do you do? Heavy, stop-and-go traffic with a full load of pasengers and gear, with the a/c on? Have you filled your tank, recorded the miles driven, then filled the tank and determined your actual mileage? Do you use gasoline, or E-10 or E-15 fuel? What type of mileage do you have on the engine and vehicle? Do you use the correct oil weight (5W20)? Is the vehicle due for sparkplugs? More information is needed. |

I just posted in my other thread, but I only saw 365.2 kms on my first tank ( not run dry ) which took 48L of fuel. This was raw 94 octane with no Ethanol.
I drove up to Oliver from Vancouver which is a lot of winding hills, with some really steep climbs and 87 octane gave me 298.4 kms on only 23.5L. I'm extremely pleased with the highway mileage, and slightly disappointed with the city. I'm going to try changing the plugs and running a tank of 87 next week in the city to see what the mileage does. For a V6 with AWD and 250HP, 18MPG City and 27MPG Hwy is good for me. |

2007 VUE 3.5L

I get that or less on my 2007 3.5 AWD in city driving. I like the VUE overall and can even put up with the odd squeaks and noises. But I was hoping for better gas mileage from a Honda engine. I've tried new spark plugs, new oxygen sensors but no real improvment. I get between 15 and 17 in the city, I have even had as low as 13 in the middle of winter. Highway driving a have gotten about 23.

Ive started driving more economically last few months (not revving over 3000rpm), and have increased my gas mileage by 40+ miles per tank. Its well worth it id say. I used to get around 280 now i hit 320-340 no problem.
