Default Intakes

Is there any difference between those really cheap intakes on ebay and put a good filter on it from the whole aem intake?

Although those who have purchased aftermarket intakes will insist that their "seat of the pants dyno" indicates otherwise, NO. You can accomplish 90% if not more, of the same effect by simply using a better flowing airfilter and the OEM piping.

I did it for the few more hp I was told it would provide. Plus it only cost me $20 for everything.

I went for a cheap one off of ebay. I had to drill the pipe for the sensor, and make a set of mounting brackets that actually worked. Also i used a better filter than the one provided. Other than that, it was a nice addition when it was finally finished.

the difference is AEM made sure their product fits on a Saturn and AEM has published dyno results and installation instructions for a Saturn. AEM includes everything you need including a bracket and the hole with a grommet for the air temperature sensor. my AEM SRS installed in about 15-20 minutes or so.
