2009 VUE 2.4L
Default 2009 saturn vue a/c problem

with the a/c having a full charge high side at 145 low in a vaccume it would seem that I have a blockage ? I pumped it down and put 22 oz of Freon in the low side went up to 50 but when the car was started it fell into a vaccume any ideas

Which engine? 2.2L - 1.5 lbs, 3.5L - 1.75 lbs for '05 Vues. What's refrigerant capacity for your '09 Vue? Labeling in the engine bay lists refrigerant and oil amounts. Are vent temps taken while parked? Do vent temps drop once at speed?

Unless this Vue was damaged and poorly maintained, a separate sticker for ac is always somewhere under the hood. Owner's manual? It has the info too. No manual? Go online to; http://www.gm.com/owner-assistance/saturn.html. The last two pressure numbers seem about right. Low side should never go below 25 psi while high side will vary in proportion to outside temps and humidity. Service manuals have temperature/pressure charts I use for accurate info. Alldata or Mitchell subscriptions provide online service manuals.
