Bought my 2001 as a certified Pre-owned for $11.5K in 2003. It have 14K miles.

Now it is a far different beast. It picks on Porsches and still looks nearly stock when on it's factory rims. But it had plenty of parts. Agility coilovers, SPS rear adjustable bar, rear disc conversion... nearly every bolt-on you can think of.

2006 VUE Red Line
2007 AURA XE
Default Re: Did you buy your current Saturn new or used?

2006 Redline Vue purchased for a Chrysler dealer in June of 2010 for $12,000 with only 50,000 kilometres or about 30,000 miles on it. Dealer was asking $13,000..... thought it was a pretty good deal as regular Vues with that mileage were going for at least $13,000.

2007 Aura XE purchased privately from a guy leaving the country that simply wanted to beat the sad amount his "friend" at a local dealership offered him. Bought it August of 2012 for $7,150. Car had all new breaks, everything including $1,100 receipt. Aftermarket rims another $1,000 receipt and snows on original steel rims. Aftermarket alarm and auto start. Comparable cars going for between $10,000 and $11,000.

Thumbs Up Re: Did you buy your current Saturn new or used?

I bought my sl2 used for 600 bucks. I few days after purchasing I put it on a 383 mile trip. She didnt miss a beat. To pass inspection I had to replace a tie rod a 3 bulbs. Oh and wipers. She has 242,646 miles on her! I did some research on them and I cant understand how GM let this company die? These were great cars.

Bought my 2005 Ion 1 new from Saturn of El Cajon in July of that year. With nearly 121k on it I have to say that it has been the best car that I have ever owned. No real problems to speak of, although the pesky pass lock problem has surfaced for the first time with are record below normal tempetures in the last week. I've been able to work around it, I just have to allow a little extra time to warm up the ignition switch assembly.

I bought it used on craigslist because my old metro kicked the bucket. Found out later it's one of the rare 10th aniversary bright red models with the black badges. Only has 123,000 miles on it.

Really like it.

1999 SC2
Default Re: Did you buy your current Saturn new or used?

My very first saturn was a 1997 Sc1 Auto, and it was giving to me as a gift, it had 150xxx miles on it, watch it turned over to 200K, then it got wrecked cause some guy wanted to pull out in front me while trying to make a illegal U-turn, had body damaged, couple weeks i upgraded to a 1999 SC2 Manual, with 202K on it but ended up putting a new motor with 48K cause the rings were shot and the a rod bearing spun, but now driving like new, minus the minor stuff i have to do lol

1992 SC
Default Re: Did you buy your current Saturn new or used?

I bought my 1992 SC brand new from Saturn of Torrance. It only had 4 miles on the odometer. Got all the bells and whistles: power everything and sunroof. Plus, I had a custom spoiler made for it the same week.

The only thing I regret is getting the plain floor mats instead of the ones with the Saturn name on them. For about the past ten years I've wished so much to have the mats with the Saturn name on them...
