Default Fuel Filters

Hi everyone! First time posting here. Just purchased an 01 SL1 with 108K.
I have to do all the maintenance on the car to get it back up to speed, plus a few mechanical things, but I had a question about fuel filters. I thought I recalled reading about the fuel filters on these cars being very picky and not liking certain ones. Can anyone confirm that, and if so which ones do you guys recommended?

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

The recommended filter for a GEN3 like yours is a Wix 33731. If I recall the Napa filter is the same and has the Wix part number within its part number.

Although the owners manual says replace at 100k miles, it's extremely rare that anyone has filter or regulator problems before 150k miles or so; have seen some folks go higher. Wouldn't hurt to have the filter on hand but replace when you notice symptoms.

I'm currently at 150k on my 2002 SC2 with what I assume is the original filter
