Default My Final Post - Car Totalled

I was T-boned from the left. Never saw it coming. Apparently I didn't look left a second time before I entered the intersection. Lucky to be alive. The Satilac, as my daughter says, has gone to the boneyard.

I've enjoyed being a part of this board and wish you all well.

I do have a car cover, and new left and right window motors, which I'll sell for $125 (free shipping). Pic of cover attached.

Take care,
Ken

I'm sorry you lost your Saturn,

BUT, I'm even more HAPPY that you're alive and well.

Sorry to hear that.
I had one of those today where someone decided to cancel their turn signal, change lanes and continue thru the intersection. Missed me by a New_York _Mile, but some watching ninnys might have gotten nervous. My front right fender is the only body panel never hit by another vehickel.

On the plus side, your next car will be better and faster, or at least bigger, stupider, ruder and safer. You can join the 75mph tailgating zombie hoards!

Competition Clutch 10Lb. Flywheel. 14 stalls to date (and loving it).
Oil use is 1 ounce per 100 miles with ~230,000 miles on the engine

LOL thanks guys. Yes, my new ride is a 2012 Honda CR-V, with side air bags...which I now find to be an important feature!

Thanks Erik! It's a 2002, and my full time home for the past 6 years.

Ooooh I'm jealous! If I didn't have kids that's definitely what I'd be doing. Well, also I have too many cars lol

Yep just plan for it. We sold the house after the kids moved out, bought the motorhome and hit the road, working around the country.

But what will you do if the kids want to move back home and live with you again?

I have teenagers, that question was a joke. Sorry for your loss.

It will be hard for them to find a moving target

Sorry to see that your car was totalled.

Would you be wiling to sell the car cover by itself...?

I have a 94 Homecoming Edition, that will soon be my only remaining Saturn...

I would be interested in the car cover.

@ 2NDSOUT :

Bryan, if you're parking the '94 on a porous surface ('dirt'/grass...) --
They (cars) seem to rust out more quickly than if on concrete/asphalt;
the underbody seems to remain moist from the soil/grass.

Was gonna suggest parking on/over a $20 plastic tarp from HomeDepot...
might preserve more. And better to park when the underbody is rinsed free of roadsalt.

Regards.

Just to wrap up this thread. I was at a Walmart parking lot and there was a guy with a Saturn just like mine that I wrecked. I'd been carrying around all of the stuff from my old Saturn in my car, so I just handed it all over to him and made his day...also mine.

Take care to you all.
