Default RIP Oldnuc

Rich. Man i am glad you called me back in early April, although wasn’t thrilled with what you said then.

You were a jackass sometimes, but in an old cranky grandpa type of way. I could deal with it. You made my 98sl2 better. I can’t imagine many more folks like you in the world.

I met Rich twice in person. Sometimes had hours long phone calls. I wish he was still here.

He passed june 1st due to stage 4 cancer

RIP

He definitely was a huge help. I would private message him often for advice.

A notice of probate means he did not have a will registered with the state, seems he made one this year. Unless Iowa law is just very different. Most wills are accepted without a probate hearing.

He will be missed.

He was admitted to hospital christmas eve. He found out on birthday(jan 15 or so) stage 4 cancer. I had no idea until april. We texted regularly but not as often. I texted him when I sold my saturn late Feb and he did respond. in early april after many times of no responses I said I would call police to do wellness check if he did not respond by next day. He called me next morning and we talked for about 15 minutes....he told me what was going on. That was the last time we spoke.

Out of all the bull**** going on in the world right now... this hits deep.

Old Nuc was probably one of the most intelligible and also honest/kind person on this forum. The amount of questions/ messages he received will probably never be matched

I've been reading his replies on here for years and he was just incredibly thorough at doing diagnostics ... over the internet !!

OldNuc and Diesel Tech Ron (rip) are two people that fueled my interest in automobile RIP to both!

Saturnfans will never forget you Rich!

Oldnuc certainly seemed to be very knowledgeable about Saturn cars. Did he used to work for GM or something?

There’s no better way to be remembered and respected than the way we all consider the impact he had on us here. Helping others is the key to a truly successful life and OldNuc set an unsurpassed example. All we can do now is to retire his number in our Hall of Fame.

God bless his soul and with any luck we all get to see him again in the next life.

Cheers and many thanks to OldNuc!

Aw man.....
Can't put into words the loss of a great teacher he was. I can't imagine how many people / lives he touched or how many S's he saved through his intervention. I would read every post and analyze all the great troubleshooting and advice. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Thanks Oldnuc (Rich)
Rest in peace
