Default CD Player no power - no eject - not working

I've been wanting to check into this since I bought my car a month ago. When I first got it I put a cd into the player but it would not (suck it in) I pushed it in, I thought maybe I could get it to play, but the CD player is dead. When you press eject, nothing, when you press cd button nothing. Is my CD player dead and will I need a replacement? - BTW radio works fine.

Either the CD mechanism is wore out or the ribbon cable going to it from the main circuit board inside the radio has a developed a bad connection. You can take it apart to check this, but I doubt the latter is the case. It would cost too much to repair for it to be worthwhile IMO.

Yeah, time to replace it with another one. Mines stopped working and my CD was stuck inside it. No way to get it out, even with the unit pulled out of the dashboard. I bought a Sony CD player that fit and found the bass wasn't working right, too soft.

Check the connections to your speaker leads. If you have the polarity [(+)/(-)] reversed on one or two of your speakers this will kill your bass and make the whole thing sound kinda weird.
