Default 2001 Saturn LW Wagon Tranny Help

I tried to post in the technical forum but it says I dont have access to it.
On our '01 LW Wagon V6 automatic, the transmission has been giving me problems this past week. Its mostly when I'm turning, the tranny will go in neutral, rev up a little then get into gear. I can hear this slight light rubbing or something. It just has a problem upshifting and goes into neutral before shifting.
Just wondering if anyone else had any problems like this.
I bough this transmission treatment Prolong for autos and manuals but not sure if I should try it or not.
We'll have it looked at by a mechanic in about a week or so but I need it to last until then
