Default Replacing valve cover gasket on 2002 L100 - need torque settings

84,000 miles and have oil leaking out backside above the exhaust header - smells wonderfull.
Got the OEM replacement kit from NAPA.
Anyone have the correct torque settings for all the bolts?
I searched here and found a link on a racing site that said 98 ft/lbs for the DOHC version but not sure if that applies to mine - which is stock.

Thanks all

Default Re: Replacing valve cover gasket on 2002 L100 - need torque settings

The specification is 22 ft-lb + 155 degrees

Start with the centre front bolt, then the centre rear, then the pair towards the timing chain F/R, then at the timing chain F/R, then out towards the drive end. The 155 degrees should be in two stages, first 75 degrees, then complete to 155 degrees (80 more). Note - these are torque-to-yield bolts and must be replaced with new ones if loosened/removed.

Note - this is for the 2.2 Litre L-61 engine as spec'd for MY 2000. If you need the 3 litre then post back.
